This place is a whole vibe. I had the negroni, hatch green chili burger with delicious shoe string fries. The outdoor patio area is to die for and took me back to a time I spent in Germany and Italy! Must see
I came here for a friend's birthday brunch. I loved everything I ordered, especially their Chimayo (ordered it a few times). They have amazing fries and avocado toast! I'll be back again for sure!
The atmosphere seemed darling online. It is located in an area of DC that isn't parking friendly (a former row house). I recommend an Uber or Metro. I met a friend for brunch where we sat in doors at the picnic style benches. Cramped quarters, especially if you're not a large party. There will be other patrons sitting with you at the table. There's also a pretty generous bar if you prefer, a small front deck to eat, and an outdoor area in the back as well. I ordered a pumpkin flavor coffee and the whip feta to start. I had the fluffy cakes (pancakes) that came with blueberries and whipped cream atop, with a side of syrup. Everything was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the queso (which had to be warmed up a little more) and the fish tacos. She said everything was good on her end. Note: The ordering is a little different. You have to order online via QR code and pay before you eat instead of afterward. The menu also has a Latin/South American flare.
A few things to highlight. Great atmosphere and a large space for small events! We had a birthday get together with over 20 people and the staff at Lulu was so accommodating and kind! Lastly, the passion fruit spicy margarita is so good that it was sold out! My only advice is to stack up LULU!!! Otherwise it’s a great places inside and outside!
I visited the Lulu’s Wine Garden and had a fantastic experience! The restaurant was clean and inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu had a good selection of food to choose from. The burger I ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. It was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend the Lulu’s Wine Garden Restaurant to anyone looking for a great pizza dinner.
Also now it is one of my top 10 restaurants in DC
Honestly, this place is a 5/5. Everything was perfect. My partner and I came here on a date and sat at the back patio. Two of the employees were smoking outside, though, and the smell was so bad that we - both of us have asthma - had to leave. If the workers weren’t allowed to smoke outside, or if they were asked to smoke outside the pro area, that would have solved the problem. I highly recommend this place, but the smoking last night was an issue.
The brunch- very underwhelming. They need to add more options, for lower prices.
The juice (pictured) to go with the mimosa (they only have pineapple tepache, ran out of orange… no other juices) was terrible. 2/10, very floral like.. I can’t even explain how weird. Chicken taquitos were good, fish tacos were over stuffed. Music 9/10 for sure. The benches aren’t safe for children, let alone drunk adults.
Visited this place for the 1st time with a friend and it was pretty good. Right now they are asking for vaccination records to enter, so please keep that in mind before visiting. The vibe was laid-back and the background music was nice, mostly 90's R&B. The food was pretty good and I had the burger but after seeing the chicken sandwich I wish I would have had that. The burger was good but a little plain compared to the chicken, if you dont eat bread get the extra meat patty. All bread ordered was soft, even the bread for our Feta appetizer. I had a mock tail it was good and it had a light menty flavor, I was sad I couldn't have the real think but 40days of no alcohol and im sticking to it...ooh its hard😔 Lastly we also had fries that had some aoli sauce on it and was a very sharable size. I would visit this place again and if your interested in outdoor seating when it gets warmer they have spaces in the front and back of the restaurant, but for now these areas do have heaters.
